bit behind with blog updates, but went to my first dance class last monday (a kpop dance class at that!) and learned the prechorus and chorus to aespa’s lemonade! it was honestly a lot of fun and i’m planning on going again (though i sadly missed this monday’s class).
i also made friends with the instructor and a few people in the class, and even though they’re quite a bit younger than me, i look forward to seeing them again, making connections, expanding my horizons.
this is all part of a concerted effort to put myself out there more; do fun things, explore my hobbies, take advantage of what this city has to offer. i’ve come to realize that i spend more of my free time than i should just laying around at home, whiling the day away, when there’s so much out there.
i want to find a creative writing class. i want to explore offerings in the “free london” book i got a while back. i want to start going on long guided walks discovering different neighbourhoods again. see more shows, exhibitions, concerts. this city is brimming with all sorts of life i’ll never encounter just lying in my bedroom (even though that’s arguably my favourite activity).
but it’s also so, so hot this week, so i’ll leave all of the adventuring to next week, when it will hopefully be a more manageable temperature.
