above: a snapshot taken of me and the aberkids at lot 332 on saturday night.
we all went over to lot 332 for a triple joint birthday bash (daneel, sahifa, yura).
i’d never actually gone partying with a large group of coworkers before (there were probably at least twenty of us) and i’ve got to say, having that many friends around made it really fun.
i showed up at osgoode and caught yura and james emerging from the subway. we were the first ones there. worries were raised about the dress code of the place – yura was dressed pretty classy, james was semi-formal and i was in a casual shirt and jeans.
sahifa showed up a bit later, and while the rest of them went off to starbucks to wait for everybody else, i decided to go home and change since i lived so close anyway.
i came back in a black dress shirt and dress shoes, and sahifa said it was better.
everybody else was really late, and we ended up meeting up with them outside of the club. it was a hassle getting in (we weren’t supposed to have to pay cover or something) but i was kind of glad for all of the commotion because it led to me not getting id’d, and we all know that’s always risky business.
so we get inside and find our booth and we had bottle service so this girl started mixing us drinks.
it didn’t take long for all of us to get tipsy, as per, and soon we were all warming up to the idea of dancing. but the music kind of sucked in our room so charissa and i decided to drag a bunch of people out to get our jive on. the dance floor was kind of crowded, but we were a big enough group to clear our own path, and the music was better so we all loosened up and started moving to the rhythm.
it’s kind of a blur of dancing and bodies and shots from there, but it was really fun, and by the time we made it back to everyone else, we all knew it was a pretty good night.
we left at about two thirty (time passed by really quickly), and a few of us headed to pho for some post-clubbing eats.
jp was loud, and we were rude, but it was okay and we were forgiven (hopefully) because everyone knew we were drunk.
on our way out, cassi almost got into a fight with this bitchy girl who was telling us all to move out of her way.
gotta love the aberkids.
