dirty little whirlwind, i'm pinned to the heart of your swirl.

made for uni.

a couple of friends and i went to a party at the university of toronto recently (my friend’s friend knew the host or something complicated like that) and it just made me want to get out of high school that much faster. i know this makes me sound incredibly immature, but i really felt like that was where i belong. i met so many new people and made so many new friends and got about 7 numbers throughout the night. it was just so much easier to talk to people in that kind of environment. i just tend to get along with people from an older age group better for some reason. my friends are going to hate me for saying this, but i guess people my age are just too one-track minded, maybe a bit too clique-y? it’s fun to be with people who are, i don’t know, more open. not that i hate people my age. it just, i don’t know, it just feels so much more easy going and relaxed with an older crowd. but i was surrounded with people my age when i was in england last summer and i love them to death, so i guess it’s not really the age that matters, but the general atmosphere?

anyways, in order to lessen the level of awkward we would’ve otherwise brought to the table, my friend liz and i created fictional backgrounds for ourselves. we told everybody that she goes to george brown college and i go the ontario college of art and design. i mean, let’s be realistic, we would’ve only been able to make it past the awkward introductions if they knew we were just a couple of highschoolers.

it was such a tease and now i’m dying to ship myself off to uni.

great, now i feel like a complete traitor.
