hi, my name is obed.

dirty little whirlwind, i'm pinned to the heart of your swirl.

i’ve been obsessing over candles ever since i stumbled upon this woman’s videos a while ago. i explored her channel and watched a couple of her candle reviews and now i’m super ready to embrace candle-hoarding wisconsin mom culture.

chris knows this, so he took me to bath and body works to go candle shopping yesterday and it was the best experience of my entire life.

we stayed in that store for close to half an hour, going around and smelling all of the candles. they had a 2 for $34 deal going on for their three wick tumblers, so chris got fresh balsam and i happily walked away with cinnamon bun.

i was actually so excited to light my candle when i got home, and let me tell you, i was not disappointed.

i left it burning for a couple of hours and my whole room smelled like a cinnamon bun. it still does, and i haven’t even lit it today.

the scent throw is amazing, the wax pool is perfect, i don’t see any tunneling – i learned all of these terms from the aforementioned candle reviews.

now i want all the candles in the world.

i want to stay home and not go out so i can save more money to buy more candles.

i think everyone should invest in a nice candle – it really does make things feel warmer and cozier.

the weather’s getting colder and the hours are getting longer, and everything is turning dreary and bleak – i can feel myself slowly squirming back into my annual hermit habits and now i can stay happy in my room, basking in the warmth and scent of my candle, focusing on writing and making music – back to creating.

maybe this winter doesn’t have to be as dark as they always are.
