“a wilting flower next to the bed of a dying woman. this is the woman who has cared for it for years, and now it is lonely and sad. the woman was beautiful too, once, and the flower was inspired – to be, to bloom, to take pride in its beauty. but all things fall, and all things die, and the woman, instead of growing old and ugly, wishes for death’s fast approach – to die young and beautiful, even if it means leaving the flower behind.”
