jan and chuck videocalled and i just spent the last half hour or so watching them get high and being jealous.

i took some notes on what they were doing.

– jan’s eating chicken
– chuck’s smoking up
– jan’s smoking up
– they’re laughing a lot
– they’re narrating what’s happening on tv because they have no audio track because they’re using the speakers for music
– they’ve turned the laptop so i can watch tv with them
– jan is singing a song about his chin as he exposes the underneath of it to the camera

i kind of want to be back in montreal now, but i guess i can wait until saturday.

grabbed some margaritas and chicken wings at the VIP with the madre today after dropping by the bank and walking around the AGO.

accomplishments were minimal. all i did was get one of my bank cards back. i still have to sort out my credit line and get the rest of my cards.

ugh.

i’m still there, free-floating.

i’m watching videos that make me giggle and eating nacho flavoured doritos.

i’m supposed to be at class or working on an essay on the moral implications of abortion or something, but i’ll save that for the post-midnight hours.

for now i am going to lie here and laugh

and think about how if i had all the money i could ever want, i wouldn’t waste my time in school.

i’d be travelling everywhere, all the time, never spending more than one week in one place. i would carry only a few things with me – including a camera, a journal and a pen – and i would document everything.

i would experience everything the world has to offer.

i would let the people who want to change lives do so.

i just want to live mine.
