“these are two lovers who can touch and touch and touch but they cannot speak to each other or look each other in the eye. why? because they know the truth of their love, their beauty; it’s empty and hollow, and not real. maybe they do love each other, but they’ll never know because they’re too scared of what they might find out. they live together, and alone, separated by the shame of things that haven’t happened yet. they are not of afraid of each other; they are afraid of themselves.”
