i somehow ended up at korova last night and i was dancing with my friend when this guy i supposedly know but can’t really remember came up to us and struck up a conversation.
i left them alone a little while later to go do something i can’t recall.
later on in the night i bumped into the guy who had come up to us and he asked me if my friend was gay and if we were together, to which i replied ‘nope’ to both.
and then he berated me for letting him waste a good few minutes of his life.
like, i don’t get that.
first of all, i don’t really know you or your sexual orientation and i don’t like to just assume these things.
second, if you think we’re together, why are you even firting with him in the first place?
third, you were having a conversation and making a new friend. how is that wasting your time at fricken korova?
everyone has more to offer than the prospect of sex, and i’m tired of people not being able to see that.
like, i get it, sex is great and everything, but i wish more people were interested in other people as actual people, rather than just potential hook ups.
having a conversation with someone is not wasting your time, unless it happens to be the most boring, stalest conversation on earth.
getting to know someone never hurts.
maybe it’s just me, but good friends are just as nice as lovers.
