What was it like to love him? Asked Gratitude.
It was like being exhumed, I answered, and brought to life in a flash of brilliance.
–
What was it like to be loved in return? Asked Joy.
It was like being seen after a perpetual darkness, I replied. To be heard after a lifetime of silence.
–
What was it like to lose him? Asked Sorrow. There was a long pause before I responded:
–
It was like hearing every goodbye ever said to me—said all at once.

This is pretty.
I’ve been waiting so long to find this.
I’M CRYING
Women are so mysterious!!

i have felt this with a few people and it’s so warm and comforting!!
I CANNOT DEAL WITH THIS CRIPPLING DOUBT AND I FEEL LIKE I SHOULDN’T FEEL GUILTY ABOUT IT BECAUSE I’M GETTING COMPLETELY CONFLICTING STORIES FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE ALL SUPPOSED TO CARE ABOUT ME???
why is this still hurting me?
i’ve gone over it a thousand times in my head, trying to understand everything.
now it’s 5 am and i can’t sleep.
but i’m tired.
So I took Titanium and set it to music from Kim Kardashian’s game
Why is this a thing?
I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT
i just did my first spin class right after weight training and i feel like i’ve been shot.
but i also feel sexy n confident!!
sleek n chic (n sweaty)!!!
my friends and i went to museum tavern for summerlicious and it was so yummy and cute.
we wore button downs (elaha wore her blazer, so she looked like she was at an office party) and loved ourselves (except for elaha, who got cold halfway through).
mmmmm.
look at this frog i tamed at church camp.
the topic of hospitality came up at church camp and it got me thinking about that time i got home from work, and my friend was already there and i was exhausted and all i wanted to do was be by myself, read for a bit and sleep, so i got really frustrated because it took her a while to leave.
but that’s not the kind of person i want to be.
i want to be welcoming and warm in all circumstances, especially to my friends.
i want them to know that they can count on me to be there and to not send them away.
it’s just that sometimes i need my alone time too – sometimes, it would be nice for them to understand when i would rather not have them around (which does not in any way mean i don’t love them) and to act accordingly.
i guess grace is something to be learned on all sides.
i know i’ve still got a long way to go.
for now, i’m going to try to be gentler, because i know how volatile and tempestuous i can be.
i think we should all strive to love and be kind and to keep from hurting ourselves and others as much as possible.
my family went to church camp for the night and it was super.
it got me thinking about who i am as a person and what good i am/could be doing in the world.
i also tamed frogs and threw water balloons at tiny children.
i’m so good with kids!
